THE CAMP CADET PROGRAM IS NOT A "BOOT CAMP" AND IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR DISCIPLINE PROBLEMS WITHIN YOUR HOME OR SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT


Camp Dates for 2023: July 23rd, 2023 - July 29th, 2023

Location: Outdoor Odyssey at Roaring Run

Application Period: March 15th 2023 through April 15th, 2023

Camp Cadet Program Criteria:

All youth ages 13-15 who reside WITHIN Somerset County.

Must be 13 years old by the start of camp and can't turn 16 years old prior to or during camp.

All youth with an interest in police work or a related area, but not exclusive of other areas of interest.

All youth who are willing to participate in a variety of physical fitness activities as well as learn and abide by military discipline

***NOTE: In order to graduate from the program, the youth MUST complete a two mile run and CPR training.

YOUTH THAT HAVE ANY NEGATIVE CONTACT WITH LAW ENFORCEMENT WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. ONCE AT CAMP, HAZING, CHEATING OR STEALING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED AND THE APPROPRIATE ACTION WILL BE TAKEN IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PA CRIMES CODE.

Notes: Cadets selected for the program must report to camp between 1:00pm and 1:45pm on the first day of camp.
